    Purpose:

    Ensure requirements of conservation easement are communicated to all appropriate role holders. Develop Forest Stewardship Plan.

    • Developing Forest Stewardship Plan, with contracted assistance as necessary, and in coordination with @Place

  • Forest Steward

    Purpose:

    Management and care for forest and trails

    Accountabilities:

    • Monitoring Whidbey Institute trails
    • Maintaining Whidbey Institute trails in conjunction with trails volunteers
    • Holding knowledge of the Conservation Easement and acting as a consultant on this for Whidbey Institute staff team
    • Supporting the WI Forest Stewardship/Loving the Land Plan with relevant consultants
    • Performing stewardship activities as outlined by WI Forest Stewardship/Loving the Land Plan
    • Identifying and removing hazardous trees
    • Energizing forest as place for connection and transformation
  • Inspiration Circuit Planning and Implementation

    Purpose:

    Bringing forest inspiration circuit to reality in a way that best supports Whidbey Institute strategic direction

    Accountabilities:

    • Creating planning documents for inspiration circuit that support conservation easement requirements
    • Coordinating with Fritz in the approach to realizing the inspiration circuit
    • Working with @Operations volunteer coordinator for coordination of volunteer construction events, helping to structure appropriate teams to realize
    • Working with @Fundraising for needed fundraising
  • Volunteer Engagement

    for Trails

    Purpose:

    To engage and coordinate volunteer support for land and event needs; To oversee and implement all administrative aspects of volunteer program

    Accountabilities:

    • Organizing volunteers for Whidbey Institute needs, including work parties and events
    • Coordinating volunteer days
    • Liaising with Apple Tree Garden volunteer
    • Creating and implementing ways of appreciating volunteers
    • Building relationships with skilled one-time and repeat volunteers
    • Identifying and recruiting new volunteers
    • Providing content for volunteer newsletters to @External Communications
    • Combining organizational needs with volunteer opportunities
    • Entering new volunteer information and volunteer hours in Salesforce
    • Developing and providing volunteer project time sheets
    • Providing all volunteers with online forms to complete
    • Providing volunteer specific website updates to @External Communications
