Business Operations
Purpose:
To integrate perspectives in service to being a Place for those called by the responsibility and transformative potential of these times

Accountabilities:
- Coordinating onboarding process for new board members
- Providing new board members with all documents for orientation and signature
- Defining and updating offboarding procedure for exiting board members
- Coordinating the board nominating committee
- Proposing to the board the prospective members endorsed by the nominating committee

Accountabilities:
- Facilitating the Circle’s constitutionally-required meetings
- Auditing the meetings and records of Sub-Circles as needed, and declaring a Process Breakdown upon discovering a pattern of behavior that conflicts with the rules of the Constitution

Accountabilities:
- Sourcing and engaging outside legal counsel as needed
- Filing paperwork with state authorities as needed
- Approving and executing legal documents for the corporation (e.g. land purchase and sale, land covenants, lines of credit, and deeds)
- Triggering other roles as needed when the corporation is threatened by legal concerns

Accountabilities:
- Signing checks on behalf of @General as requested
- Supporting board members in their understanding of Whidbey Institute finances
- Updating and facilitating periodic board member review of organizational financial viability
- Calling for board action to intercede if the financial health of the organization is at risk
- Approving annual budget
- Ensuring Board duty of care for the organization's financial assets and liabilities

Financial Modeler
for Overview ModelPurpose:
Financial modeling for strategy and business development in service to healthy and viable organizational operationsAccountabilities:
- Designing and preparing detailed organization-specific models used for decision making and business development purposes
- Forecasting for the purpose of coordinating cash flow and anticipating cash needs
- Supporting all circles and roles with budget development for coordinated organizational financial actions
- Coordinating projection updates for monthly financial reports with @Bookkeeper
- Coordinating modeling and report for line of credit or banking needs with @Bank Relations
- Updating and sharing monthly budget tracking report
- Highlighting opportunities to increase revenue and decrease costs
Purpose:
Developing relationships with and creating opportunities for people and organizations to be inspired to contribute financial resources

Major Donor Fundraiser
Purpose:
Developing relationships with and creating opportunities for major donors to be inspired, involved and contributing financial resourcesAccountabilities:
- Asking donors to give a gift
- Identifying, prioritizing and building relationships with Major donors
- Thanking donors personally
- Providing notes and contact information updates to Salesforce and pledge tracking document
- Coordinating major donor site visits
- Providing major donors an opportunity to develop relationships with each other and offer fundraising circle input and support
- Identifying responsible major donor fundraiser for each major donor relationship
- Setting objectives for each major donor relationship
- Working with @Giving Programs to develop campaigns and strategies
- Coordinating logistics of donor visits

Purpose:
Connecting human energy with operational opportunities

- Compensation Plan
Accountabilities:
- Designing and evolving methods and processes for employees to earn income ("Compensation Plan")
- Publishing general guidance regarding any tiers, categories, distinctions or other related classifying systems made within the Compensation Plan
- Exercising a duty of care to integrate the needs of the Enterprise, Organization, and People Contexts when evolving the Compensation Plan
- Integrating perspectives of Integration Circle members prior to proposing any material change to current Compensation Plan
- Integrating self-assessment and peer-assessment feedback received from @People Operations
- Responding to requests for clarity regarding compensation structure.
Purpose:
Caring for necessary operational infrastructure and practices

Accountabilities:
- Signing checks as advised by @Bookkeeper, and in coordination with other signers: @Treasurer and @Executive Director
- Coordinating financial accounts, at bank, and with providers of merchant services
- Facilitating Visa card access for new employees, cancellations, and changes in limits
- Submitting annual update to bank with changes in officers and account signers
- Renewing annual lines of credit
