    Purpose:

  • Electricity infrastructure

    for New installations

    Purpose:

    A safe and functioning electricity power system

    Accountabilities:

    • Finding out what the challenges are in case of irregular or long power cuts
    • repairing broken components and electricity faults
    • Installing electricity in new buildings and required places
    • Checking for alternative sources of getting electricity (solar, umeme...)

  • IT infrastructure

    Purpose:

    Administering and managing the performance, availability, and accessibility of technology, information, and data in a proactive way

    Accountabilities:

    • Keeping contact with ISPs in order to have the fastest internet at the most affordable rate
    • Allocating priorities and bandwidth to users according to needs
    • Troubleshooting the system to identify, diagnose and solve problems within the network
    • Installing routers / wired networks to expand IT infrastructure around Jangu promises
    • Supplying fast internet access for online sessions and glass frog meetings (governance / tactical)

  • Safety Steward

    for surveillance system

    Purpose:

    Jangu is a safe and secure environment.

    Domains:

    • Smoke Detectors
    • CCTV System
    • Alarm system

    Accountabilities:

    • Conducting Jangu international Workplace safety training/ drills to new members. (Emergency exits and assembly point, fire fighting, alarm signals, and other SOPs)
    • Coordinating the security guards for their presence in Jangu International
    • Defining the working relationship between the security guards and Jangu International
    • Identifying hazards and risk factors that have the potential to cause harm
    • Monitoring the cameras and backing up captured videos, pictures for future reference
    • Maintaining and ensure the proper functioning of entire security systems (fire extinguisher, Alarm, and CCTV system)
    • Keeping spare keys of all public spaces and dormitories

Empowerment Stages

Purpose: Scholars empowered to work individually and in teams while growing personally and professionally

  • Applied Social Innovation Program

    for Program coordination

    Purpose:

    Scholars discovered themselves and their potentials.

    Accountabilities:

    • Organizing trainings for Applied Social Innovation
    • Organizing evaluation for scholars to go to emerging
    • Preparing monthly budget request and allocate it
    • Coordinating outside trainers.
    • Updating the training program and availing it to trainers and scholars before a week starts
    • Storing and allocating scholastic materials upon request.
    • Evaluating the past performance before the new intake starts
    • Checking and following up with facilitators at least 2 days before session that they are prepared and make sure videos and notes are uploaded on google drive.
    • Uploading key applied social innovation concepts on a centralized google drive.

  • Coaching

    for coaching Jangu members

    Purpose:

    Provision of transformational coaching services toJangu international scholars.

    Accountabilities:

    • Capturing and developing coaching progress on a tracking sheet
    • Creating awareness of coaching to all Jangu community scholars**.**
    • Offering coaching services to different Jangu International community scholars in need.

  • ICT Stewa

    for ICT trainings

    Purpose:

    Training members to use technology efficiently and effectively

    Domains:

    • Computer training

    Accountabilities:

    • Creating a training plan
    • Training Jangu international scholars in the use of computer
    • Training on ICT skills (such as email writing, effective research, use of MS Office, etc.)
    • Training on effective web browsing without blocking other users and catching viruses
    • Training on proper handling of laptops (so they do not break down)
    • Programming and Planning daily Uses of ICT Hub
    • Planning and structuring powerful ICT sessions.
    • Training on proper handling of devices

Emerging

Purpose: Every emergee is fully aligned to a social problem and identified a potential sustainable solution in a team.

    Accountabilities:

    • Capturing stories of Jangu International and its members as text, photo and video (e.g. "SINA NEWS")
    • Storing photos and videos
    • Maintaining and looking after functional photo & video equipment of Jangu International
    • Administering of the Jangu International official WhatsApp group
    • Creating and maintaining visually compelling sign posts for JANGU in and off the compound (including compound posters).
    • Creating, Maintaining, and Availing physical branding materials i.e( Business cards, posters, brochures, banners, T-shirts, etc)
    • Developing, implementing, and manage Jangu international social media strategy
    • Making official communications for general events and public holidays
    • Handling and Updating the Jangu International website
    • Creating and updating a consent form for photo, video and audio material and ensuring the signing from all community members

    • Fixing, repairing and servicing of physical Jangu assets, Compound, and the physical infrastructures
    • Coordinating the sorting, recycling and sustainable disposal of waste
    • Creating and maintaining hygiene standards and compound designs
    • Providing safety and security of Jangu International members and assets
