    Accountabilities:

    • Seeking to understand Tensions conveyed by Role Leads within the Circle
    • Discerning Tensions appropriate to process within a broader Circle that holds the Circle
    • Processing Tensions within a broader Circle to remove constraints on the Circle

  • Legal Liaison

    Purpose:

    Abstract intentions are captured into concretely-defined relationships and legal risks are identified

    Accountabilities:

    • Coordinating contract drafting and legal review/advisory services upon request from other roles
    • Clarifying constructs in the company's operating agreement for partners and prospective partners upon request
    • Minimizing risk to and protecting the interests of the organization and consulting with outside counsel as appropriate
    • Monitoring the organization's GDPR compliance, highlighting risks for relevant internal roles, and driving compliance improvements to reach a tolerable risk level as determined by GCC Circle Lead
    • Researching trademark maintenance requirements and dilution risks when new translations are proposed
    • Filing all required paperwork to maintain the Holacracy Foundation

Sales & Marketing

Purpose: Attract interest with a compelling and authentic brand narrative; serve internal stakeholders by connecting our target audience with their relevant products and services

The Holacracy Foundation

Purpose: A flourishing ecosystem of Holacracy providers, supported by strong shared marketing and content resources

  • Brand Protection

    Purpose:

    Protect the integrity of HolacracyOne’s brands

    Accountabilities:

    • Notifying infringing parties within the general public of HolacracyOne’s trademark and copyright rights and requirements, facilitating voluntary compliance whenever practical, and forcing compliance legally when needed with the assistance of @Legal Liaison
    • Monitoring usage of HolacracyOne intellectual property for infringement by the general public
    • Maintaining a list of approved local translations of the word "Holacracy" and considering requests for approval of new translations in light of trademark risks as assessed by @Legal Liaison

    Purpose:

    Accountabilities:

  • Licensing Integrity

    Purpose:

    Clean relationship between HolacracyOne and Licensees

    Accountabilities:

    • Monitoring licensee activity for alignment with terms of the licensing agreement and any related quality standards or other requirements.
    • Monitoring Licensees' usage and messaging of the Holacracy brand, and aligning them with @Brand Identity and @Brand_Design standards.
    • Notifying licensees of any possible material breaches of their licensing agreements or related requirements, and supporting licensees in determining available options to cure such a breach

    • Terminating a licensing relationship in any of the following circumstances, in alignment with contract terms:

      1. When a licensee willfully breaches the terms of the licensing agreement
      2. When an unintentional material breach remains uncured after due notice and a reasonable opportunity to address it
      3. When a pattern of substantially-similar breaches continues to recur even after a licensee has been alerted to such pattern and given reasonable time to resolve it
    • Educating Licensees on common compliance issues and supporting Licensees to help align to the program terms

  • Trademark Administrator

    Purpose:

    HolacracyOne's brands legally protected in the right jurisdictions

    Accountabilities:

    • Filing and maintaining trademark registrations in appropriate jurisdictions

Back Office Ops

Purpose: Delight business line stakeholders with accurate, useful, and timely back-office support

  • Financial Compliance Manager

    for Secondary

    Purpose:

    Accuracy and integrity of financial transactions

    Accountabilities:

    • Reviewing and approving monthly partner distributions and ledgers prepared by @Partner Distribution Processor
    • Examining and approving cash transfer and banking-related requests, ensuring compliance with authority and legitimacy
    • Creating and maintaining clear, fair travel and expense reporting policies
    • Reviewing and approving or rejecting expenses to ensure they align with established financial policies
