Purpose:
To build and grow a thriving, inclusive, and impact-oriented Effective Altruism community in East Africa, while weaving strong ties with Umoja Greenlands’ vision, values, and initiatives.Domains:

Accountabilities:
- Leading the development and coordination of the independent Effective Altruism East Africa community (online and offline), ensuring it remains inclusive and open to diverse EA perspectives.
- Designing and facilitating outreach, events, partnerships, and onboarding for new EA members in East Africa in collaboration with local and global EA networks.
- Serving as a bridge between Umoja Greenlands and the wider EA community, fostering mutual learning, collaboration, and sharing of resources while respecting the independence of both.
- Supporting regional community leadership (e.g., volunteers, local groups) and mentoring emerging EA leaders across East Africa.
- Creating public-facing content (posts, presentations, webinars) that communicates EA principles in an East African context without endorsing only one organisation’s viewpoints.
- Cultivating a sense of belonging, openness, and impact in the EA East Africa community.
- Ensure EA East Africa activities remain inclusive, open, and representative of diverse perspectives within the EA movement.
