Senior Pastor
Purpose:
To embody and guide SGC’s sacred mission by tending the soul of the community, transmitting its spiritual lineage, and anchoring our practices in reverence, wisdom, and devotion—while upholding our commitment to Least Dogma as a foundation for shared truth, spiritual freedom, and non-dominating faith.Domains:
- Final authority over SGC’s spiritual teachings, liturgies, sacraments, and catechism content, including the interpretation and application of Least Dogma.
- Final authority over ordination standards, pastoral titles, and clergy progression within SGC.
- Authority to define and approve liturgical structures, sacred materials, and ceremonial protocols used in official SGC sacrament-based services.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the co-creation and spiritual integrity of SGC’s vision, mission, doctrine, and culture
- Guide liturgy, teach regularly, and shape member-facing spiritual education and “church DNA”
- Provide pastoral care and mentor facilitators, overseeing ordination and clergy development
- Represent SGC publicly and cultivate relationships with donors, researchers, and allies
- Support fundraising and strategic direction in collaboration with the @Executive Director
- Offer hands-on sacramental guidance and occasional educational support related to sacred gardening practices
