    • Working together with the designers to ensure the moulds can be used and satisfy our specs

    Purpose:

    Characterise the waste streams of a system to and design plans to implement zero-waste solutions (e.g. plastic flow in Njombe, waste at SHIPO office)

    Accountabilities:

    • Characterising the waste in Njombe
    • Researching plastic demand in Njombe
    • Researching what polymer type similar projects have recycled
    • Researching and experimenting processes to get the polymer types we require, in the conditions we require
    • Looking for plastic input opportunities if requested by @Workshop care taker
    • Making sure we collect the recyclable plastic materials (e.g. plastic caps) from the people renting SHIPO Hall (preferably letting them know what and why we are doing so)

    • Obtaining data about waste and inputs to feed to MFA models

Purpose: Create the conditions (awareness, knowledge, technology and economic incentives) and coordinate and mobilise key societal sectors in Njombe rural and town councils (government, civil society and private sector) to implement climate mitigation and adaptation activities that are fit to the local context

    • Establishing the criteria for selection of the consultants for the pilots
    • Implementing zero waste plans in SHIPO Office
