  • Application Architect

    Purpose:

    A core architecture for GlassFrog that enables rapid development and integrity of the codebase

    Accountabilities:

    • Monitoring lift vs. drag provided by the technology stack and aligning it with Circle strategy and priorities

    • planning and prioritizing large infrastructure investments and improvements.

    • Integrating objections from Product Delivery to potential investments for improving development capacity, before committing to those investments

  • Developer

    Purpose:

    Satisfy the customer, with @Product_Vision as proxy, through early and continuous delivery of truly valuable software

    Accountabilities:

    • Implementing GlassFrog user stories, bug fixes, and chores in alignment with:
      - development practices set by Scrum Master
      - implementation standards set by Quality Guardian

    • Testing new functionality before each production deployment

    • Providing input into estimation at the request of Scrum Master

    • Sharing development challenges with Product Delivery, API Product Designer, and Developer as challenges arise

    • Demonstrating working software to Product Delivery regularly and frequently, and integrating feedback surfaced by Product Delivery

    • Soliciting feedback and input from Product Delivery early and often during the development of each user story

    • Evaluating technical skills of candidate role-fillers on request of Technical Screener, using the process and guidelines defined by that role

    • Orienting new Developer role fillers on GlassFrog functionality upon request

  • Internal Tools

    Purpose:

    To provide minimally sufficient software tools for Holacracy app experimentation

    Accountabilities:

    • Developing and maintaining internal software tools to support HolacracyOne's use of and experimentation with key apps for running a self-organizing enterprise (e.g. software to support HolacracyOne's Badge-Based Compensation app, Attention Point app, etc.)

    • Coordinating with Product Vision on apps that may make sense to go into GlassFrog software

  • Lead Link

    • Role assignments within the Circle

    Accountabilities:

    • Structuring the Governance of the Circle to enact its Purpose and Accountabilities

    • Assigning Partners to the Circle’s Roles; monitoring the fit; offering feedback to enhance fit; and re-assigning Roles to other Partners when useful for enhancing fit

    • Allocating the Circle’s resources across its various Projects and/or Roles

    • Establishing priorities and Strategies for the Circle

    • Defining metrics for the circle

    • Removing constraints within the Circle to the Super-Circle enacting its Purpose and Accountabilities

  • Security Officer

    Purpose:

    GlassFrog and its customers are safe from the big, bad world

    Accountabilities:

    • Identifying potential security threats to GlassFrog and customer data

    • Championing security issue fixes through the process

    • Responding to requests about GlassFrog security

    • Maintaining and providing standard security and data processing agreement templates

  • Story Pipeliner

    Purpose:

    Efficient feature story workflow from conception to production deployment

    Domains:

    • Source control and related systems for GlassFrog code and related files

    Accountabilities:

    • Supporting Developer in using defined source control systems effectively and efficiently

    • Defining and evolving lightweight source control and related systems, standards, configurations, and processes which meet the needs of Developer and Product Delivery

    • Adding and removing partners from source control systems at the request of Developer Onboarding & Offboarding

    • Defining and implementing issue tracking (i.e. epics, features, and bugs) workflow, processes, and policies

    • Defining, refining and publishing workflow processes

    • Selecting and administering the user story tracking tool.

  • Technical Screener

    Purpose:

    Unspecified

    Accountabilities:

    • Defining a technical screening process for candidates for roles requiring technical software development related skills

  • Badge Bootstrapper

    for Technical Badges

    Purpose:

    Highly discerning and conservative Badge grants to bootstrap just enough people into new Badges

    Accountabilities:

    • Assessing Partners for Badges upon their self-nomination, when there aren't yet enough people who actually hold the Badge and work with the Partner who can reasonably assess

    • Reviewing and assessing proposed additions or changes to the Badge Library

  • Comp Badger

    for Tech / Software Pathways

    Purpose:

    Suffer through the comp system, so others don't have to

    Accountabilities:

    • Defining common progression pathways for H1 partners by defining a series of increasingly valued badges for skill profiles the organization needs, and all needed pre-requisites for each

  • Partner Partner

    for Jonathan and Nick

    Purpose:

    A helping hand for partners

    Accountabilities:

    • Answering questions from Partners about Holacracy, the company's activities, the partnership, and how all of these work together

    • Talking with Partners upon request to help them build perspective on tension processing pathways including differentiating tensions best processed personally versus organizationally

    • Supporting Partners to find a professional development path in the partnership upon request

    • Initiating conversations with new Partners to provide thought-partnership on their transition into the company

  • Tenured Partner

    Purpose:

    A healthy tribe and tribe space for HolacracyOne, where partners thrive while contributing their gifts

    Accountabilities:

    • Interviewing new Partner candidates and assessing whether to invite them into the partnership, upon request of any relevant Role

    • Assessing Partners for continued partnership during scheduled Partnership Reviews

    • Assessing candidates for Tenured Partner status, upon a Partner's self-nomination

    • Sharing information and context at an appropriate moment about partners transitioning out of the organization

    • Identifying polarity imbalances at play and relevant in HolacracyOne's culture, and, when one is identified, calling attention to the value of both poles, to the pitfalls of unbalanced overuse of both poles, and to examples within H1 of effective use of the underbalanced pole

    Purpose:

    Accountabilities:

    • Triaging usage-limiting issues in GlassFrog and fielding tactical database updates as-needed

    • Assisting Outreach with understanding GlassFrog for sales & marketing purposes, including notifying Outreach upon significant product changes that would affect GlassFrog marketing

    • Developing, maintaining, and hosting GlassFrog and related tools to deliver on the value propositions defined by GlassFrog Business Manager

    • Conducting in-depth fit-for-role interviews with well-qualified technical candidates

    • Providing Holacracy Implementation with admin level access to client organizations

    • Supporting Holacracy Implementation coaches with using GlassFrog by answering usage questions and pulling occasional reports about client organization activities

    • Developing and maintaining internal software tools to support HolacracyOne's use of and experimentation with key apps for running a self-organizing enterprise (e.g. software to support HolacracyOne's Badge-Based Compensation app, Attention Point app, etc.)
